All domestic workers we partner with have numerous years of experience before we refer them to your house for professional cleaning services. If they’re not quick and meticulous, we do not refer them. Rest assured that all of the independent service providers we refer to you are same domestic workers that we would prefer to clean our own homes.
Back Bay is the leading destination for most who come to Boston. One of the gems of the area is the Prudential Center, at the heart of the neighborhood called Prudential. The Prudential Tower of Back Bay is a towering testament to architecture and innovation. It never stops improving, and it has an increasing amount of attractions to keep anyone happy for hours on end. If you’re looking for things to do in Boston, then check out Prudential.
Prudential, also know as The Pru, is not just the building but the surrounding area. It is nestled within Upper Back Bay, St. Botolph, and Copley. The northern edge of the neighborhood runs down Boylston Street between Exeter and Massachusetts Avenue. The southern tip is along Huntington Avenue.
A little over 5,520 people live in the area surrounding the Prudential. That puts the population density at around 34,630 people per square mile! The median household income for the Pru is about $84,000, meaning that those who live in this neighborhood are well-to-do. The median age is 36 for men and women, and the average house size is 1.7 people. This means that there are more singles than families living in the area.
As of April 2020, Top of the Hub, the lofty restaurant in the Prudential Center, is closing for good, ending 52 years of service. The Skywalk Observatory on the 50th floor also shut its doors due to COVID-19, but it will be remaining closed for a while, for there are renovations taking place. Other than that, it is business as usual in most of the Pru. The interior promenade continues to attract visitors, as do the shops. The mall within the Prudential Tower connects to the Copley Place shopping mall, the Hynes Convention Center, and a few other office buildings. Two hotels—the Sheraton and Mandarin Oriental—also have connections to the building.
The Prudential Tower and Prudential Center are surrounded in history, as is the neighborhood where these two attractions are located. The Prudential Tower’s construction started in 1960. It took four years to complete, and at that time it was the tallest building in the world, except for the skyscrapers of New York City. It even surpassed Cleveland’s Terminal Tower. However, the Prudential Tower is no longer on the list of the fifty tallest buildings in America.
What many people do not know about the Pru is that the land was once marshes. The wetlands were converted during a large landfill project that took many years to complete. The area was reshaped to meet the needs of a growing city, and eventually, a railyard was built upon the ground where the tower stands today. During the 1960s, the railyard was deconstructed, and the Prudential Tower, along with a few other buildings, replaced it.
For many years, there was only a small shopping arcade at the Prudential Center that was filled with stores like Saks department store. All of the buildings surrounding the arcade were separated. In 1991, a plan was set forth to connect buildings and eliminate the exposed walkways so that way people could move about and remain dry during inclement weather. The shopping center was also to be expanded. It ended up being a $100 million project.
The area of Prudential/St. Botolph today is a blend of family-friendly fun, entertainment, restaurants, and history—as is most of Boston. Yet, there is something you can do around Prudential today that you can do nowhere else in Boston. You can see incredible sights while shopping until you drop! You can also enjoy plenty of green space just beyond Prudential, such as the SW Corridor Path, which runs alongside the Copley Place shopping mall, and Titus Sparrow Park. Copley Square is also close by, and that is one place you do not want to miss.
If you are looking to stay in Prudential, you are in luck. There are several beautiful hotels to choose from, including the Boston Marriott Copley Place, the Mandarin Oriental, Sheraton Boston, Hilton Boston Back Bay, the Copley House, and slightly farther away, the Clarendon Square Bed and Breakfast.
Since there are well over 20 places to get food inside the Prudential Center, as well as hundreds of restaurants surrounding Prudential, you don’t have to worry about getting hungry. Should the offerings within the Prudential Tower not satisfy your cravings, you can head to Lucca Back Bay or Thorton’s, both of which are found along Huntington Avenue. The Capital Grille is also a great option.
Were you looking to visit the Pru? There are numerous transportation options to get you to and from the Prudential Tower, including the Prudential subway station, Hynes Convention Center station, and the Back Bay Station. Multiple bus routes also stop in front of the center.
Perhaps you’re a busy Prudential parent, trying to juggle the kids’ dance recitals and soccer practice on top of vacuuming and doing the dishes at home. Or maybe you’re a business professional or CEO who doesn’t have the time to deal with dust and dirt when you return home from a long day at work. Or possibly you may have a disabled relative or elderly parent who could use a helping hand around the house.

All house cleaners are background checked, come with 2 to 3 years’ experience, and fully equipped to handle any cleaning task.
